>>
>>131485608

>>
>>131485608
yeah there by laws or whatever you burgers call state laws have some weird thing where if a product contains a cancer causing agent they have to label it. i remember cause when i ran a decent pub in brisbane and got misquete charcoals and hickory hickory chips from my supplier they had big labels that said this contains carcinogens that cause cancer
>>
>>131485899
*cause said products came from cali
>>
>>131484833
Of all the dipshit-stupid things cali does, they at least have the balls to require notifying consumers of any positions that may exist in what they buy.

Monstanto ruined wheat and corn around the globe. They should have been stopped decades ago. Instead of using their billions and expertise to engineer, say, plants that can grow in low-light, low-humidity conditions one might encounter underground instead of introducing completely new species of plant into the ecosystem, I would have a very different opinion of them.

If we all find ourselves starving, it is their fault.

It's not unless you ingest it directly or breath or absorb it. It literally degrades into inert compounds in the soil within 24 hours- here's the real problem with glyphosate: emerging weed resistance and the disappearance of pollinators because many of the agricultural "weeds" that have been eradicated by roundupready fields were foraging or pupae plants for butterflies, bees, you get the idea. I haven't seen more than a single Monarch in years, and when I was a kid they were everywhere. It's because milkweed is all but wiped out. The product applications have improved a ton I. The last few years though to prevent drift and waste- field edges are coming back with native plants. Roundup destroys plants indiscriminately. And it doesn't cause cancer. Just don't be a fucktard around it.

>>131484833

Glyphosate has lower toxicity than table salt. It's not mutatgenic at all, it can only cause cancer in the same way that basically any chemical can cause cancer, by causing tissue damage when at extremely excessive concentration.

About 10 cancer deaths in the US are attributed to the use of herbicides/pesticides.

It's a fucking non-issue. The only way to get cancer from glyphosphate is by putting it on your vegetable patch at home, and not washing your vegetables/hands properly before eating.

The reason California is listing it is to damage a market leader. My guess is that they have California-based agriculture companies lined up with glyphosphate-free herbicides to swipe the entire market away from Monsanto.

They actually absorb it (as well as various pesticides, can't recall atm). So, there really isn't a "resistance" to the chemical in the sense of a "raincoat", more like a sponge - it just gets trapped in there and doesn't do anything to the plant.

When you eat the fruit, you are also ingesting those chemicals along with it.

>cancer epidemic

In 1971, when President Richard M. Nixon initiated the War on Cancer, the average person had a 1 in 10 risk of developing cancer in his or her lifetime. Today, that's changed – for the worse. The risk as of 2005 is 1 in 2.

this is the major cause of rapid decline in western populations

cancer is now as common as the flu, that is intentional. the existing cures for cancer are intentionally suppressed.

the great culling/poisoning orchestrated by CIA, CFR, etc has led to dramatic population declines. the genocide machine is being refueled by new immigrants to pack into the poison chambers

creepy numbers

roundup as sold in stores is a tiny, tiny percentage of roundup as used in the US. the vast majority is bulk sprayed on food crops that get sold in every grocery store, to every restaurant , etc.

incidentally, this includes most "organic" crops.

Corn and other major cereal crops have been genetically modified by Monsanto subsidiaries towards two ends

1) no going to seed - all seed is produced by first gen "mother" plants, gets sold to farmers, doesn't create seed after that - farmers must buy next year's seed from a Monsanto subsidiary Distributor.

2) crops are resistant to roundup weed killer.
>>
Holy shit this thread.

I love it when people who have obviously never been on a farm in their life tries to give advice about it.

>brb, telling my dad we are using vinegar next year.
>>
>>131485662

Not very harmful at all. It biodegrades rather quickly.

The things in RoundUp and its imitators that are harmful are the surfactants - the detergent-like chemicals that help the glyphosate to stick to vegetation.

That's why there's different versions of RoundUp for different spraying situations. E.g. there's one for spraying alongside creeks, etc. that has surfactants that don't cause problems in water.

I grew up on a farm.

the cause of the epidemic which will cull the majority of the population is intertwined with industrial toxins, pollutions, and modern western lifestyle promoted by corporations, politicians and social engineers.

it took 100 years for the authorities to acknowledge that smoking is harmful to health

it will take 1000 years for the authorities to allow minimally-invasive, effective, curative treatments with great safety profile

the epidemic is silenced. the cures are suppressed. they want you to not exist.

it is 1 in 2 people. meaning 50% of the population

Pesticides but not really, uses peptide chains to "dissuade" pests from going near a crop. Shit breaks down into amino acids so you can have amino acids on top of your amino acids for brekky in the morning.

Actually childhood rates are rising a lot faster than that.

For example, rates have gone up 60 percent in the UK in just 16 years. Similar statistics are present in Germany.

This is perhaps the most striking evidence that cancer rates are actually rising due to environmental factors and not just increased life expectancy.
