Fairly sure whoever made Children of Men was heavily inspired by Soylent Green. It was the first accurate cinema depiction of a realistic dystopian future. It utilised the idea of climate change, but that was before alarmism and you can really interchange the cause of decline with anything.
One of the best movies of all time with the best lead actor of all time.
