Insurance is about shielding and protecting you from unexpected risk. You pay into it in case your house catches fire, or your car gets smashed by someone else, or you get cancer and require expensive treatment.

Just doesn't seem fair that someone with a previous known medical condition should be allowed to get insurance, though. Those are not unexpected expenses. Yes I can guarantee an income for my family because I work hard and if my job becomes obsolete my Bachelors degree workes for many positions...i will always have a job...i will always have a 401k ...and if not i have a substantial savings...why? ...because I have an education ...i have a good degree that allows me to do multiple jobs and I work hard at my job...why is this a hard concept for people...and mommy and daddy didn't pay a dime for me...i actualy support them in about 20% of there income....i do it all on my own

no its not because theyre lazy its because some people have a lower IQ than you and dont have the attention span and mental stamina to stay in a college for all those years and study and do everything that is required and then be able to survive in the competitive marketplace

they just dont have the abilities that you have some people can only live as a low skilled person
