Worked with many leftist organizations in the past. What you assume ought to happen, indeed does happen. It's just that leftists are extremely silent about it.

The process works like this. Leftists engage in pro-Palestine activism, encounter Muslim activists along the way, and then begin working with Muslims. At this stage they are pretty naive and mostly virtue signaling -- will vehemently deny being anti-semetic, "just want human rights," etc.

Muslims gradually teach the leftists how ruthless Israel is, then they take it a step further and explain how it's not a "conflict" but a genocide against the Palestinian people.

Then they take it even further, and tell the leftists that groups like Hamas are actually just defending against genocide.

Before you know it, leftists are promoting what most would consider radical Islam. But because leftist activists are extremely paranoid (justifiably so) about intelligence agencies monitoring them, they never vocalize their support for radical Islam.

In the final stages, the radical Muslims give them more history regarding the Jewish people, and that is when leftists become deeply anti-Jewish -- some even convert to Islam and vow to fight international Jewry.

I can tell you a good 70% of your most ardent leftists absolutely HATE Jews, but it is something they take extremely seriously, and you will never find them announcing it publicly or posting about it online. They are silent and waiting for the right moment, as it were.

But along with their fight against Jews they have sadly embraced radical Islam. So whether the purpose they serve is good or bad depends on your perspective.
