A few decades ago, sex-negative feminists clashed with sex-positive feminists over whether sex is good or bad. After some incredibly intelligent debate they shook hands and agreed sex is only good when it's convenient for them, and prostitution is an inconvenient competition.

You could say the same for abortions. Sure a portion of women will do it anyways, and there will be a negative outcome for them. When it's legal the babies still die, en masse, and these women have more abortions. When it's illegal there might be women who decide to take their life more seriously.
