Not really. I've lived in Tokyo for over 15 years and had no real problem after learning the language and the customs. It's pretty much my permanent home. I probably wouldn't leave the country if it wasn't for work sending me abroad here and there. My wife's family has no problem with me and I've never really felt discriminated against.

One thing I did notice about people who come to Japan and say "reeee I'll never integrate" are the retards who go there and put the Japanese on a pedestal or have a-type personality
