dear /pol/catalog/,
i would like to learn about federal philosophy & law, including empirical observations of practical applications and consequences, for the purpose of training myself for public service.
i would like to know how the federal government operates, something along the lines of a high school civics course (which i did not experience) might cover this. there must be good reading materials that aren't tainted by ideology to fill me in on these things.
i would also like to read the u.s. constitution, and have something like guided notes or narration that exposes the original philosophies and perspectives behind the development of the constitution. for instance, what the "founders" argued about and thought about as they were producing this document.
perhaps /pol/ can produce a good general list of books for the aspiring practical politician to reference when developing legislature and policy.
