On a related note. Many Poles naively believe in the American 'white' narrative in the European context and genuinely can't understand that European Germanics prefer Arabian/black immigration. Why? One reason is subconscious - ancient conflict with Slavs imprinted in collective psyche. Second is that Slavs are genetically and culturally similar enough to be capable of integrating. Arabs and blacks are different on the first glance - they can't ever truly be _mistaken_ for a true German or whatever. A Pole who immigrated as kid can, easily.

What many Poles see as an inherent advantage - that Polish immigrants can integrate, work, get wealthier, start companies eventually etc - is actually a drawback. Secondly: I doubt that Hitler was especially cruel to us because we were "slavs" : he cooperated with a lot of slavs: Ukrainians, Russians, Slovaks and so on. He was so anti-Polish because we opposed him and lost war against him

Thirdly: I think that German hatred for us may be also connected with the fact that almost 4 mln of Jews lived with us before war.
