How will society function when people are unemployable?

As we are well aware, low skilled labor like truckers, clerks and such will be automated in 10 or so years. These low skilled jobs aside, were going to make the brightest of humans unemployable too. What will we do then?

For example AI can already create music, code, engineer components, fly a plane, handle middle management and finance, paint and practice medicine. This means AI is already capable of handling stuff in major STEM-, creative and medicine fields aka the stuff that is usually considered hard to get into or even learn by the average layman.

Seems to me that jobs that attract smart and capable people will get hit almost as hard albeit with a little delay. What will we do when even the best of us cant find a job for their life?

And yes, jobs wont disappear over night or completely but the quantity of jobs will decrease dramatically. More in some fields and less in others, creating a huge influx of applicants for fields which still have jobs but dont have nearly enough vacancies
