A guy who made one of the most interesting games at E3 got a bunch of shit for making a pro-GG tweet 2-3 years ago, and got dragged through the mud for it. It's basically been allowed to happen, and it's obvious that since Zoe Quinn still has a platform, the same journalists and newer even more "progressive" ones are still working, and the better part of the mainstream industry still believes the media line that Gamergate was all about how much we hate women and minorities, that nobody has learned anything....

We kinda lost. The same people who started or participated in the movement are either tired, disillusioned, or have denounced the effort entirely as being a bunch of faggy redditors or some such thing. Look at E3. Token female presenters have become a staple, and Ubisoft specifically mentioned diversity and multiculturalism and brought a Burger King Kid's Club of developers up just to show off how tolerant they are. The industry is fucked. No matter how much anybody tries to tell the truth, we're just decried as evil, immature, misogyracists.

I've basically given up myself, and am just watching shit burn to the ground. Few games even catch my interest anymore, and if they do I pirate them. If liberals want video games, I guess they can have them. Gives me more time to be productive, and I'll always have my backlog.
