What does /pol/ think of Noam Chomsky?

smart guy, but has some profoundly flawed views on key issues like US foreign policy in terms of war and terror.
His book Constructing Consent was good. Personality is kinda shit though.
He deliberately speaks bad to throw people off in order to claim victory in an argument. He's also shilled heavily by universities.

First act of American revolutionary committees should be to hunt him down and liquidate him immediately.

I don't agree with him on everything but I do agree with him on some key points and acknowledge that he's a smart guy and respect him overall.

> His book Constructing Consent was good
You mean Manufacturing Consent?
>>131227163
>He deliberately speaks bad
We live in a world where a person wrote this and deliberately hit post.
>>131226922
He's a liar.

Communist. Strip away all the emotional bitching and wordplay and that's what is left -- rabid marxisism.

>You mean Manufacturing Consent?
yeah, my bad, thanks
>>131227501
this is a bit over the top but there is something to it. Chompsky is the prolific Liberal who holds views predicated on knowing just enough information to deeply entrench oneself in a position. Also hes deeply disconnected from current times.

Chomsky is pretty amazing desu.
He did good work in linguistics. He also did good work with his political work.
>propaganda is to democracy what violence is to totalitarianism
>institutions filter for certain mentalities, this causes news media, three letter agencies, and universities to have specific sterotypical people and force out those who don't fit the model.
>israel is power hungry and warhawks
That being said he's all pro peace, uplifting poors and other non pol approved shit. Its easy to go "lol communism" but he doesn't really root for communism he just roots for that liberal utopia of "if we teach everyone correctly it'll all work out".
