I would have stuck around in the thread, but I had to go work and make someone else a lot of money just to barely afford my own rent and basic necessities.
But anyways,,,
I was hoping you all would discuss the issues with each other but the thread died.
Someone asked "why should everyone have basic necessities? what are the conditions, stipulations, everyone born will automatically get basic? people can just have kids and get more and more, every gets what they need, noone has to do anything because everyone is promised necessities?"
If you born into this world, someone takes care of you. It's fundamental part of healthy family structure. When the family fails, the responsibility is placed on the larger community.
This planet can support a little more than 15 billion people. We are at a point in technology where we can provide the infrastructure to take care of every. single. human. being.
With the new constitution our government will be given the authority to provide this.
Our government can give lucrative contracts to the best businesses that can provide the basic necessities of life.
Short of letting people die (which some of you don't even have a problem with), this is the ONLY fair solution to poverty and slavery.

Who is going to pay for all that? And if you say tax the rich more or companies more (they are the highest in the world already) then you simpliy drive them out of America or to use laws to hide their money off shore.
You don't help anyone, you destroy the ecomoney and set America on a doomsday path.
We can't just print money and we can't tax the few factories and rich out of the country either.
Why did Ireland's economy take off?

Reality is, you can set speed limits but people still drive at the speed they are comfortable at.
Free healthcare in EU means avg European pays 60% in taxes, that means paying 4 times the price for the same car (as an example)
Wake up, only hard work makes money, there isn't enough to give it away and taxing those that have it will make them shed America all togrether, leaving more poverty in the wake.
Fair pay for fair work. Get the mob/gov out of loan sharking and put regulations on colleges.
