And it's this sense of importance that gives us happiness- happiness comes from friendships, not possessions.
Poor Africans who have friends can be happy- whereas rich Americans without friends can't be happy.

Actually I agree, but ubi is not the answer, rather the answer is building communities through the workplace, lowering working hours, and fostering shared experiences through public events , periodic public meetings, and creating open gathering spaces for children and adults alike.

I am anti UBI, and my post is meant to address the notion they unhappiness stems from lack of wealth- whereas is interdependence that gives us happiness. Wealth can only give one comfort.
