How do you successfully take over nearly all institution but are unable to play the simple game of politics? Greens voters are just people who will vote dem if given the reason. The same can be said about libertarians and republicans. They should be who you are attempting to constantly woo. This should have been attempted with a smear on gary johnson, at least they wouldnt risk alienating all the potential voters they have in that case.

For all the talk about the deep state and constant insiders fucking things up for the trump government i think the same is happening to the dems. It seems like someone on the inside is just making consistently poor choices on purpose. Campaigning in the wrong areas. Using the wrong terms. Going after the wrong people. This is too perfect of a fuck up to not be intentional

this too. I love watching one of the lefts beloved here accidentally toe the line and get thrown to the wolves on our public broadcaster. One big lefty recently made a joke and it was all over. He came grovelling and apologizing then next day after they broadcaster cast him in with the racist and evil lot. It didnt matter if he was a party loyalist all his life.

I love watching it because nothing makes someone wake up harder than being thrown out of the house because they sneezed

One thing about the institutions such as academia is that the status quo had to argue back against the postmodern interlopers, and it was unable to do so, because postmodernism undermines all bases (logic, language) from which to argue. Since for various reasons postmodernism cannot be refuted with argument, it "wins" and takes over.

However, in politics, the response to postmodernism doesn't have to be an argument that refutes it. It can be as simple as a vote, which is unquestionable and does not need to be supported with argumentation, facts, or anything else. That is, you don't have to explain your vote for it to count, and you don't have to refute the other side to cast a vote against it.

The right eats their own constantly as well. Politics is a dirty business. I was saddened when Milo was smeared even though I didn't personally like his shameless self promotion. I was annoyed when USAA dropped support for Hannity even though I never liked him. This constant purity test crap is really bad for getting anything done.

Oh most definitely but the right here has grown jaded over those who do this. The rise of more parties and people turning to alternative media here means that those who fail the purity test of neocons often find themselves flooded with job offers elsewhere. I would have though trump winning would have weakened your establishment right and made them realise their attempt to eat him failed and could have cost them the election.

It really is bad business but its good politics i guess

Postmodernism functions on the axiom of there is no one absolute objective truth". Disprove this (actually super easy to do) and most of it falls apart. The difference being a classical academic might see modern society as favoring white people as they were the first to figure out how to properly run a govt and treat people for the most part. A postmodernist academic sees modern society as only the way it is because it functioned off of stealing from people of color
>>
>>131217579
its a mix of factors, in a nutshell victory has defeated them. really fucking badly. their isolation has given them cultural autism, they get their ideas of how to be cool from a mix of pseudo intellectuals living monastic lifestyles in hipster communities, and business leaders who market to those communities, and as a result nobody finds them appealing and they cant figure out how to fix it. they lost the rustbelt and the working class in general for that. to think they used to populists. then they are failing in power politics after their egos blew up their abilities to calculate successful moves, they think bridging divides and gaining support means hating you target demographic harder until they feel guilty or something. they will never get sanders supporter back, ever. they have just cut off all the millennials who would otherwise suck cock for cuck laws from the party. its not just neolibs vs progressives, hillary is starting a feud with the dnc cause they didn't keep giving her bernie sanders money during the general or something, and that's creating an entire new schism that they are mentally incapable if diffusing.

Leftists here are pretty far left considering they're cool with letting in more wetbacks and sandniggers for fear of being called a racist. Their ideology has reached its suicidal end point just like all other leftist political movements in history. Democrats pander to these dipshits whether or not you'll admit it and in spite of the Democrat Party being a thinly veiled front for corporate kleptocracy just like the Republicans.

same, but it isnt comfortable to watch. one of the biggest factors is the intellegantsia, the media and the overton window. it seems like a blessing for them, but the truth its that every one who isnt a nneoliberal, most of the country, isnt convinced by this pigeon holing of discussion. all that is creaded is a false sense of social normality and panic over dissent, making the crazy and comfortable while feeling like assholes. obviously this doesn't stop observers from noting the fact that they are crazy assholes, and the butcher their own support at a person to person level. much of the progressives are also alienated by the dominant worldview peddled by the news. that's fracturing both the grassroots left and the intelligentsia which was a huge source of cultural power, now dying of critical mass bullshit, in fighting, and cultural decentralization from cyberspace. essentially were watching them self district but they have to do it in a way that makes the social environment unpleasant as fuck, i can point and say they're crazy, even redpill a few people and turn some progressive to my side on issues here and there, but thats because they are actually crazy and im constantly on the watch for the anti trump lynch mob. cali bro here, its pretty much just neolibs and progressives running the show so we catch the worst of this nonsense.

It's not just the left.

Any dominant group will begin to eat its own because due to it being in power, more people will question it or attempt to refine its already established ideals.

A niche group has to remain the same because it's already a minority.

With that said, it's only inevitable the left does this to itself.

I think it is becoming quite clear that these sorts of things are becoming obsolete quite quickly. Postmodernism is nihilistic and ultimately devoid of meaning... People seek meaning in all things and, inevitably, this trend will be cast aside and scorned as useless, because it is. Naturally, neo-liberal, globalist, postmodern advocates will do a lot of damage on their way out... But dogmatic ideology doesn't? There are many examples of these sorts of callous trends being overcome in the past and this too shall pass.

>A postmodernist academic sees modern society as only the way it is because it functioned off of stealing from people of color

This becomes absurd the more you think about it. Niggers were brought here, and the most useful thing they could be made to do, was to pick cotton and other crops. There's nothing about their presence that was essential to the success of white people. Whites would have just had to sweat a bit more if the niggers weren't brought here. They were "robbed of wealth" sure, but they would have sat on their ass in front of their mud hut and starved otherwise; they never would have produced agricultural textiles on their own in Africa.

The US would not exist without the work of white men, and it is precisely the decline of the influence and social position of the white male in American politics and society that is causing her decline right now. I agree with how you've framed the discussion, and I've been thinking similarly for some time now. The Enlightenment liberal ideals, "postmodernist" thought, all of it can be and has been twisted into an insidious psychological weapon which undermines the behavior of certain human subgroups in a population.

I would have said they could rally behind Gabbard even though most of the sitting dems dislike her. Idk how Dicky Spencer's endorsement of her would play out among the democratic bases though, since they're so entrenched in that sort of thinking that if someone supports you, then you must embody all the ideals that person has.
>>
>>131227664
This almost caused the death of the GOP. That they were unwilling to line up behidn trump almost cost them the election. Whether the dems will realise this and just support her is the question i guess. Hopefully they splinter twice as hard
>>
>>131227302
Ideologies like these tend to balloon up until they pop... And that usually means catastrophic warfare. French Revolution begot the Napoleonic Wars, Imperialism yielded WW1, Bolsheviks created the Russian Revolution, the Cold War and WW2 in collusion with National Socialists.

Globalism, which is the umbrella ideology of neo-liberal economics and postmodern philosophy, which has very craftily subverted our western civilization and installed itself quietly as the leading ideology, is doing its level best to plunge the world into a conflagration of epic proportions... And has already yielded massive global conflict, by encouraging warfare in the middle east and Philippines, but social strife and terrorism in Europe.

Militant Islamic Jihadism is another of these painful Ideologies that is damaging the world, of course and globalist and Jihadist actors are playing against one another to achieve their goals... But Jihadism is an anachronism that had existed for a very long time, only to rear it's head again.

>Greens voters are just people who will vote dem if given the reason. The same can be said about libertarians and republicans.

The only way Democrats can get anybody to vote for their shitty do-nothing faux-communist party is by promising free shit and preferential treatment. This is literally the only way they get votes. See: every minority group in the country.

And even then the moment any minority member gets self-sufficient (50 Cent, Dwayne the Rock, Ben Carson, Thomas Sowell, Kanye West, etc. etc.) they vote Republican. The Dems are a sad shitty party and their one attempt at a serious revamp ended with pronouns and gender studies faggotry.
