What does /pol/ think of the Warmbier case?
I wrote a song about him. It's
meant to be performed as a hardcore punk piece.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
You went to North Korea
You went to fucking North Korea
Even though you were American
You went to motherfucking North Korea
You tried to steal a sign
You tried to steal a fucking sign
Even though you were American
You tried to steal a motherfucking sign
You were arrested for it
You got fucking arrested for it
You tried to cry like a little bitch
And those fucking chinks didn't care
Then they put you in a labor camp
They put you in a fucking labor camp
And a bunch of North Korean people
Fucked you in the ass and mouth
Then you went into a coma
You went into a fucking coma
And now you're fucking brain dead
Because you got fucked in the ass by Koreans
Now your family is putting you in the ground
Now you're in the fucking ground
You stupid fucking crybaby faggot
Now you're rotting in the ground.
The moral of the story,
It's the moral of the fucking story,
Is don't go to Korea,
Or don't cry like a faggot if you do
They say you're in a better place
They say you're in a fucking better place
But God hates fags
So you're probably in Hell

Going into North Korea and trying to take a souvenir piece of propaganda isn't a smart thing to do.
Not that he deserved what happened, which I suspect he was given a high dose of barbiturates and choked in his sleep or something.

The whole thing feels fishy to me for some reason. The reaction of the world hasn't really made sense. I mean they fucking brained this guy... And everyone is just like "yeah that's North Korea for ya!"
cold beer > warm beer

I know he went out of his own free will, but I still can't help but feel bad for him for being reduced to a crying propaganda-outlet.

This guy should get Darwin Award of 2017.

It's not that hard to grasp. No one gives a fuck about him except his close kin. He was entirely expendable.

Yeah, I feel bad too. Not bad enough to not want to laugh at his plight, though ;)
Latest info says that he was in a coma for like almost a year or some shit. Best korea didnt know what to do with him so they just said nothing and waited to see what happened. His health deteriorated to the point where he clearly was going to die, so best korea decided to give him back, as doing so would be less of a political blemish than letting him die in their hands.
He hung himself. He knew his life was totally fucked and he was weak willed so he killed himself, or at least tried to. He failed, because his guards found him only moments later and brought him to a military hospital. However, he was out long enough that his brain went without oxygen for longer than it could survive, resulting in brain death. He lived on only in a persistant vegitative state on life support. Eventually the rest of his body gave out and the koreans knew he was toast so they washed their hands of him.
All the initial reports stressed that there were no signs of physical tramau, specifically that there was no indication that he was aphyxiated. However, considering the event that put him in a coma occured nearly a year prior, this is obvious.
Best korea didnt want us parading that one of our citizens was brutally killed in their prison system. We didnt want to admit that our citizen gave up hope on daddy government to rescue him and killed himself. Its being swept under the rug because its in no ones interest to pursue it further.

Committed a crime and got punished

You absolutely would've been autistic to even try something stupid in NK.
So either he had a mind of a child (autism) and NK simply dealt with him as if he was satan or he was employed to do something and he was a spy whom was put into best Korea's Abu Ghraibu
