So you know how the economy has been doing really well lately? You can prepare for it to get a lot worse. Trump just cut taxes on the 1% so they will get even richer. I don't think this is very fair for the common people considering the rich should pay most of the taxes. I am actually disgusted.

The rich actually do more for GDP than the poor. When your income goes up, your spending goes up. What do rich people do with 1 million dollars? They play golf, buy boats, travel, eat fancy food, etc.

That one 9 iron golf club just paid for the hourly salary of 30 people.

Sorry but society doesn't just exist to serve the rich. What your saying will lead to a society where most jobs are just serving the rich. Bascially we do work for them and they give us cash. That's like feudalism.

You don't even need that for spending though, give the money to people on welfare and they will spend it faster than the rich ever could.

How do you think capitalism works? No other economic system has produced more wealth and equality to all than capitalism. You are paid for whatever skills you have. And rich people often come from middle class areas.

And the problem with people on welfare is that sure they buy their peanut butter and tomato sauce, but that still doesn't have the buying power of someone buying a boat.

>give the money to people on welfare and they will spend it faster than the rich ever could.
And that's the problem. That's why tons of actors, and athletes go from rich to poor in a few years after their career is done.

Again the only thing that actually helps people out of poverty is Education. However, when you reward people for having shit education and no skills, people become accustomed to it and decide to go on "learned helplessness". Hence why farmers can't find enough help even paying people $15/hour. They can pay them $25/hour and people still won't pick food. They have a better life sitting at home collecting benefits than actually pulling themselves up.

Most rich people don't have skills, they employ skillful people to do their bidding

>And the problem with people on welfare is that sure they buy their peanut butter and tomato sauce, but that still doesn't have the buying power of someone buying a boat.
If it costs 2 million to buy a boat, and you redistribute that 2 million over 10 thousand welfare recipients it will still be the exact same buying power since it's the same amount of money. It's like the 10 pounds of bricks or 10 pounds of feathers thing.

>
Take the example of the estate tax. They've convinced people that it's bad for them when it only applies if you're worth more than like 8 million dollars.
It actually doesn't. It applies to all. Estate tax taxes on your death, which is like 25%. However, when your beneficiaries are getting your money, they're also taxed because it becomes income. And since the tax bracket maxes out at about $250,000, a majority of middle class people are suddenly paying 52% taxes on their income. That's a double taxation which isn't fair.
>>
I want the welfare state abolished and has taxes but this type of shit is criminal. It's literally theft to just cut revenue without cutting spending. This is just kicking the van down the road and assigning that future debt to me and my kids. Fuck Trump and fuck everyone else in that swamp

That's true.
>I thought spending was good?
It is. but people still need to be able to only spend within their means. Or you'll create an artificial wealth period, which was seen in the Stock Market depression of 1929, and more recently the 2008 housing crisis. You can't keep giving people things to spend. People aren't robots that can just be nourished with bread (well they technically can...but that leads to the entire individualism vs collectivism thing)

>you can't get just an education though. how do you get it?
You get it through the passing of information. Information is obtained by doing things, reading things, experiencing things. Welfare recipients are "educated" in getting welfare, but they'll never get out of the definition of poverty because that's what they learned and passes it to their children.

Luxury goods generally aren't labour intensive as mid-range goods dollar for dollar.

For example, $500,000 Rolls Royce will require only about 3 times the labor to manufacture than $20,000 Toyota Corolla despite being 25 times more expensive.

Shift of economy towards luxury goods tend to depress employment and general health of middle class household finances.

>Besides if i have great leadership and managment skills i can't just become rich.
You actually can. Since you'll have a skillset that's highly sought after. Having a proven leader that can make a company run as smoothly as possible is a highly sought after skillset. Sure you wont' instantly become rich over night, but over time, your skills improve and you move up the chain of money.
>More workers will be hired to serve the needs of welfare recipients
That's not true. Because people aren't willing to work. Farm workers aren't able to fill positions. And the reason they'r enot working? They get more from welfare and entitlements that earn more than working. Labor from Mexico don't have that much welfare, so it's worth it to them to work. And the much better mindset of Mexicans than American workers.

There's only so much time and money before the spending to keep welfare recipients alive will eventually backfire. Either companies are just going to keep producing more technology to displace even more people, or we move to a state controlled economy.

Corporations already $6 TRILLION in profits per year. Only GOP establishment and billionaire globalist corporate shills think they don't make enough money.
>>
>>131184289

You can't force people to bring their money into your country.

So the only way you can tax that money is if you make it more economically sensible to bring the money into your country so it can be taxed. Which is something Trump talked about on a regular basis throughout his campaign.

Actually, Venezuela has a bit worse inequality than the US.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_income_equality
And speaking of shitholes and inequality, violent crime strongly correlates with economic inequality, the bigger the wealth gap the more violent crime. Economic inequality has been soaring for decades and violent crime has been on the rise. The only reason for the dip in crime from the 90s to the 2000s was cause of drastic measures like the 1994 crime bill.

>Clinton between 1993-2000
>Highest Median Income Year - 57,909
>Lowest Median Income Year - 50,478
>Average American Income During Presidency - 54,291

>Bush between 2001-2008
>Highest Median Income Year - 57,423
>Lowest Median Income Year - 55,376
>Average American Income During Presidency - 56,192

>Obama between 2009-2016 (We dont have 2016 so I gave it a growth of $484 just to give an estimate.Came out at 57,000)
>Highest Median Income Year - 57,000 (56,516 Accurate highest for 2015)
>Lowest Median Income Year - 52,666
>Average American Income During Presidency - 54,376

>Clinton - 54,291
>Bush - 56,192
>Obama - 54,376

So to me at least, barring the Line graph, overall americans enjoyed higher median income during Bush presidency than Clintons or obamas. According to https://www.census.gov/library/publications/2016/demo/p60-256.html Income and earnings

Numerous studies and examples from other countries, e.g. Finland, contend against the claim that throwing money at bad schools is the solution to education problems.

The poor tend to contribute nothing to charity (including volunteer hours) or anything else.
Private property should be at the disposal of those who possess it. Anything else is state instituted robbery.
Rather than tax the rich, we should lower the cost of some publics works by compelling those who use the most public benefits to volunteer on them.

It's been proven for more then 70 years that supply side economics has fucking failed and does not spur growth and new business at all. Yet people ironically believe that somehow this is in their best interests
Right now we still have a deficit from Medicare and SS and it will only get worse. When the deficit only get worse the GOP will then cleverly use the excuse of "CUT DEM PROGRAMS" like art, public broadcasting, research and public infrastructure funding despite it being less then 1% of the discretionary budget.

I don't think you do.
Situation A:
Company is taxed 25%. They are unable to afford to hire their planned 100 employees. They cut the number to 50 to accommodate. The company makes $1 million in profit due to the shortage of manpower. The government makes the additional 10% ($100,000) on the company's revenue tax.

Situation B:
Company is taxed 15%. They can afford to hire as planned. They hire 100 employees. The company makes $1,500,000 due to operating at full capacity. The government doesn't make the extra $100,000 on the corporate tax, but more than makes up for it by standard income tax on an additional 50 employees who are making an average of $50,000, resulting in ~$10,000 per employee ($500,000).

9/10 bait made me reply unironically.

It's a start. Then by the end of the year I'll have 26 shares! Since Mcdonalds pays dividends, and I DRIP it in, i'll have 30 shares by the end of the year! On my second year, i'll have about 65 shares due to compound interest and dividends. Hopefully I'll get a raise too and more than likely get it for 1 years worth of work and management opportunities, giving me suddenly 80 shares by year 2!

Now that I learned tons there is about Mcdonalds, I'm going to go into corporate. Earning me a huge boost of money to 60k a year. I can now buy even more shares, etc etc.

It takes a liberal to think this. Let's ignore the repealing of the Glass Stegal Act. Let's ignore the Fed. Let's ignore the everything that isn't Bush so we can blame everything on him.

>>Bush dindu nuffin
>>It was Clinton fault
>It takes a special type of retard

A president isn't some all power agent over the economy. Both Clinton and Bush were responsible for policies that created the conditions for the crises. So were financial modelers for not properly capturing tail risk. So were plebeians who took out loans with no income. So were banks big and small who went lax on underwriting standards. The list could go on.

Fair enough you looked to into it. I'm just saying it's highly misleading to go by average. Doing well in 2005 doesn't really mean much when you collapse the entire global economy in 2008.

>there's actually a limited amount of money

There sure is and retards like you want to hand it over to dumb affirmitive action bureacrats to waste on Laquisha's fifth obamaphone.

Even if it sits in a bank account, money is still better in private hands because money in a bank=more money the bank can loan out=better loan terms and lower interest=more favorable environment for investment capital and people wanting to start a business, refinance their home or car, pay for education, or any number of other endeavors that will eventually pay off with profit.

Also I said this before and Ill repeat it using an analogy for 12 year olds (since thats the only way a simple minded fool like you will understand).

The economy isnt a zero sum game. Money is a token representing value. Value can be goods, services, resources, ideas, etc.

There is an infinite amount of value in the universe, and hence infinite money. In minecraft, if I dig more stone, it doesnt prevent others from digging more stone. I am not taking stone away from them.

In real life someone getting rich is NEW WEALTH being created, from thing air. It is wealth that didnt exist anywhere prior to that.

Taking it and giving it to others wont create new wealth.

You do understand republicans are the war party right? Democrats set the stage while republicans finish the deal. Both establishments have the end goal of consolidating power and reaping our rights. Sure there have been great presidents but they all get "mysteriously" assassinated. My god man the truth its all front of us open your eyes and mind. Stop picking sides of a tyrannical system.

>Reagan economy was a failure

You're a fucking retard.

Reagan came into office during a recession caused by Jimmy Carters policies. By his second year the economy was growing at 6% per year.
He simplified the tax code significantly and the US had a golden age during his tenure. This WHILE OUTSPENDING THE USSR, FORCING THEM TO COLLAPSE, AND MAINTAING A POWERFUL MILITARY.

Despite this he had retarded democrats in the house and senate undermining him and trying to spend on useless shit.

No, they want to be millionaires to be part of the club. No one cares about the stuff millionaires can buy. THat's the only benefit of being upper-class. It's like being popular at school basically.

How did you rebut?

>>(Income in 2015 CPI-U-RS adjusted dollars. Households as of March of the following year.)

This is how they're measuring the dollars but I'm saying the median income data point is a once a year snapshot. So when they say for example median income in 2015 was $56,516 that's the snapshot taken on Jan 1st. It's a once a year data point. Not say monthly like the unemployment rate.

So who was president on Jan 1st. 2009? >>131192982
>>
>>131195066

Easy. Banks have more money to lend and compete for borrowers at competitive rates. Firms decide it is a good time to invest, hence directly spurring employment growth in related goods and services. More people enter the workforce and have more money to spend on consumer goods, hence spurring on even more employment and growth.
