Most were against a strong central government. Thomas Payne if I recall was heartbroken when the constitution was created since it gave them much more power than originally.

Fascism isn't too far off from absolute monarchy (which is more totalitarian that British monarchy of the time). I imagine that the founders wouldn't be any more pleased living under a fascist Britain's rule than the would living under Parliamentary Britain's rule
