BEIJING — At least 141 people were missing and feared buried after a landslide caused by torrential rain destroyed a mountain village in a southwest China’s Sichuan province, state media reported Saturday.
The landslide hit the village of Xinmo in Maoxian county before 6 a.m. on Saturday morning, and 46 houses were buried, according to the Sichuan provincial government, state media news reported.
So far, only three survivors — a couple and their one-month-old baby — have been rescued from the village and taken to the local hospital.

You can't compare mainlanders to the Taiwanese people.
If you've been to both places, you'd know there's a huge difference

Big difference culturally but not ethnically.
Big tragedy. Almost ruin dog festival

Been to both, and aware they are not the same, but both are Chinese, and both claim to be the rightful heir of old China.
Also, Taiwan has much more of the historical relics of Old china. But it much too late for me to argue about this on a message board.
