The position of flags in presidential meetings has had a much deeper meaning than most people realise. There's a strong metaphor at play here. Basically the closer the flags are, the stronger the alliance. If you look at the meetings Trump has done so far you see this come to fruition in every instance. But the meeting between Australia's PM and Trump compares to no other. There's no space at all between the flags. This proves that Australia is America's greatest ally and no other country even comes close to the solidarity we have with one another. Prove me wrong if you can but you know it's true.

Canada will always be economically and culturally closer, purely as a result of geography. I always through Australia was a mix between Britain, and the US, with more of a British influence, than an American influence. Canada is the other way around, with more American influence than British.
