Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

Yeah it sucks. It takes me about 30 minutes each night doing ridiculous rituals before I can get into bed. Also have to do minutes long ones for other things like when I start my car, read books, use the toilet or open/close doors or lights.

I've managed to overcome a great deal of it by sometimes forcing myself out of doing these things and telling myself that it's irrational, but still not completely. It's fucking hard.

I've had it for about a decade now. It comes and goes in its severity. Sometimes I have virtually no symptoms and other times it can make me essentially bed-ridden. I find not doing compulsions, eating no processed food/artificial sweeteners, and physical exercise help. New research is out showing that OCD maybe caused by inflammation and low GABBA levels.
