How did Hitler improve the German economy so greatly in such a short amount of time? I get a lot of mixed messages as to whether to Nazi Party was capitalist or socialist.
He was a wizard
Massive and unsustainable government spending.
It wasnt marxist socialist, they used Keynesian economics and deficit spending, along with controlled wages to prevent total economic collapse and used public works programs to stimulate growth. After the first couple years they started to drift more free market in some areas.

Hitler never cared much for the economy, he found it extremely uninteresting and paid little attention to it. The economic left wing faction of the Nazi party was quite prevalent until the assassination of it's leader Strasser in 1933. Alongside donations and book sales Hitler took a great deal of money from corporate interests and was generally in favour of protectionist capitalism, part of the reason for the initial German economic success was their commitment to run their economy as if they were in a state of war. I can't remember the name of the Minister of the Economy but he did an excellent job.

Wrong. After the leftist strasserfags were BTFO they went centrist on economics and had mixed markets. Hitler said it himself:
>He clearly believed that the lack of a precise economic programme was one of the Nazi Party's strengths, saying: "The basic feature of our economic theory is that we have no theory at all."

No problem, dont buy into the Jewish meme of "HURRR THEY WENT TO WAR BECAUSE OF MUH DEBT"
Germany was practically self sufficient at the time, and in 1939 their debt as a percentage of GDP should tell you something about how SHIT that theory is
