I have noticed that New York Times articles quickly trend nationwide, and start showing up on the "trends" with with ~2000 tweets.
I noticed this a couple months ago when the same (((guy))) had the exact title of his article trending two Sunday mornings in a row.
We obviously know its possible to use Russian bots to retweet you or use your hashtags. Scott Pelly did it on the 60 minutes episode that Mike Cernovich was in, and I'll comment with an image that had looked like the Hillary campaign was doing it.
Is there a way to prove or find out if it is happening?

some evidence of other bots
and this one
their followers are bots. At least 70%.
i can't find the data but anons were looking into this months ago, basically these lib rags all use thousands of chinese bots to puff up their failing papers
it's not just limited to tweets, like 30% of their online views are from bots or something
look at where their traffics coming from you'll see just how dead they are
