the internet is compromised

Rundown?
>>
>>131100722
The files, found on BetaArchive, contain 8TB of compressed data that comprise of 32TB of internal builds for Windows 10 and Windows Sever 2016 and even software blueprints. This is believed to contain the code for Shared Source Kit, which includes the source for Windows 10's hardware drivers alongside PnP code, USB and Wi-Fi stacks, storage drivers, and ARM-specific OneCore kernel code.

All of these are critical systems for the operating systems and with their code available in plain sight to malicious parties; the massive leak, which is believed to have been taken from Microsoft's own systems, could prove devastating for the security of the OS in the future.

>>131103468
>>
>>131102791
1. Very small userbase
2. Critical things are patched fairly quickly (depends on distro, Arch is bleeding edge so it's very close to developers upstream and debian is slow as fuck to progress but critical patches are backported and a shitload of other distros are somewhere inbetween)
3. #2 is only valid for kernel and base tools. Userspace applications can and often do go unpatched for a very long time sometimes with retarded flaws (pidjin is a 100 in 1 substitute for a load of IMs and stored passwords as a plain text file)
4. Linux has a 99.9% probability of containing a buttload of gaping security holes that aren't publicly acknowledged because nobody is arsed to test for them or publicize them

t. linux user

George Soros and Rothschild are the inside people of banking system, they talk with bank directors in another room as you do, to get told where to invest and they know other guys at stock exchange. That's how you become rich very fast, unlike common man who is outside of system and has to speculate on blind eye. If you want to stay ruler of international system you gotta know where the nuts and bolts are. That's what NSA/CIA and all those guys are doing, giving their elites an upper edge, then the elites legally invest.

Yup they've only disclosed that they use it in the cloud, but you're also wrong. Gmail uses PhotoDNA and busted a guy for sending CP via email once; this sparked some debate as to whether Google had dug through his private emails, which is illegal everywhere and it also breaks their Privacy Agreement; however, because of this they came forward with that they used PhotoDNA and this is completely fine because they only check hashes against known CP images so they don't actually check the images. Because Google revealed that they used PhotoDNA, Facebook also revealed that they used it, having used it in the dark previously. Microsoft could very well be using it and sending known CP-using ips/names/computers to NSA for use in blackmail or smth

I was a PC user since my family's first computer in 1992, a Tandy DOS/Win 3.0 box. I switched because I was a budding videographer at the time and the PC hardware was so shitty and buggy that, after beating my head against it and dealing with viruses for about 5 years, I couldn't take it anymore.

I literally haven't had a problem since, and I've been a relative power user. The only issue I ever had with a Mac was a bad logic board, which was replaced and it was fine.

Meanwhile, every PC I ever owned was glitchy and everything was always a fight. Not so with any of my Macs.

I didn't exactly get a Trojan or something. Most likely a keylogger, very well hidden keylogger.

This whole steam account thing is still a huge mystery to me, there are way too many unknowns even after all these years.

There is a huge chance that there was no virus to begin with and I was just hacked by someone with special algorithm for passwords ( my password was very weak, you see) He was playing cs go as much as I did ( yes. the thief was a complete and an utter moron. He left his email, name and an address on my account because he took it for granted)

I know where he lives, I know his age and I know his name and surname. But the best part is that he is not aware of that.

Probably 19~21. He finished high-school this year. Or in 2016. He used to have a steam account that went by the nickname of [SRB]Wolf -- he was probably banned after I found out who he was, good riddance, he had a bunch of expensive skins.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TempleOS
>Development for TempleOS began in 2003 after Davis suffered from a series of manic episodes that left him briefly hospitalized for mental health issues.[1][4]

Davis is a former atheist who believes that he can "talk with God" and that God told him the operating system he built was God's third temple. According to Davis, TempleOS is of 'Divine' intellect due to the inspired nature of the code. According to Davis, God said to create the operating system with 640x480, 16 colors display and a single audio voice. The operating system was written in a programming language developed by Davis in C and C++, called "HolyC".[2]

It's good from a security and privacy standpoint, to a certain degree.

you can still use steam and play steamOS/linux compatible games which there are quite a lot now. There are easy user friendly versions of linux(ubuntu) and more advanced. Linux mint is the most like windows layout and a very popular os. Watch some youtube vids on how it works to get a basic idea of how it works. You;ll get the hang of it quick and learn some things along the way. For basic pc tasks you won't need to learn much at all.

It's basically an amateur-maintained ubuntu distro.

Why would you ever trust the security of a distro who's servers were hacked not even a year ago?

Try CentOS if you're on a desktop or Ubuntu Gnome if you're on a laptop.

Keep a clean, anonymous Windows partition for gaming only. Don't make your gaming info linked to your real self. For Steam registration, use only shitmails etc. Make sure to encrypt the Linux partitions.

Also, make sure to run TOR browser in a VM only.

And don't forget to smoke weed everyday

so would you need to restart your computer every time you wanted to switch operating systems? my computer is old and takes about 15 minutes to start up. also what about the intel processor backdoor thing?
>>
>>131136268

wrong. instead you need to accept that if you are using a computer with an internet connection you are compromised.

"wrong"

lol ok

No, I agree. You (we) are all compromised, but at least I do make myself less of a target by following some simple rules.

Yeah, there are still possible backdoors, but this way it minimises the risk of exposure.

My older brother who handles all the computers in the house made us all upgrade to Win10. D:

Actually you're an uninformed faggot who is making yourself a massive glowing beacon of a target by using tor and encryption. Any faggot who reads the news knows by now that tor was funded primarily by the NSA and CIA and that a huge number of tor nodes are in washington dc and other NSA locations.

so you are saying we need to spread tor so that their power level is weakened?

>keep using tor
>more people use tor
>end up new internet standard
>drink agency tears
