Basically just an old culture and people's which gives them a strong sense of pride and community which a lot of other folk wish they had. With that history behind them it's allowed them to build a "brand" and work that "brand" for their benefit for millenias. They've established themselves pretty well albeit being a bit nomadic, and in doing so have gathered political and economic power.

Their culture values intelligence and knowledge above all, while sacrificing higher morality and practicality of ideas. They are basically the "Eve" of humanity, that seeks to eat the forbidden fruit all the time, wherever it may be.

Some may say that's brave and pioneering. Others may say it's foolish and self destructive.
