This time last year, js bongs voted for secession from the EU and for FREEEEEEDOOOOOMMMM. How did you react on the day the result was announced? Lets hear the stories!
I was in Berlin the day of the vote. I felt ashamed to be British. Utterly ashamed.
Before this I was always proud to be British. I travel a lot and always used to make jokes to foreign friends about how Britain was better than ever other country. It was light hearted, and always clearly in jest - but it was clear i loved being British.
Now I am sickened by what my country has become. It's so far away from the open tolerant UK I once loved. We are the laughing stock of the world. I hate being associated with the new little England that is pandering to scared xenophobic feeble people.
I've applied for a EU country passport and I'm done with the UK. I'm moving my company out of the UK (which brought in 6 figures of USD into the country each year) and I'm taking its future taxes and job creation to Europe. Then I'm gonna sit back and watch the country I used to love tear itself apart. It's sad, but at least I get all this political popcorn. I just feel horrible for the remainers that can't escape and are stuck in Brexit Britain.
