I don't care about the hijab. I mean the idea that it is showing 'modesty' to wear one in western countries is laughable, but as long as they aren't wearing it in IDs and they remove it when a police officer tells them too, or if they're in customer service and the company wants them to maintain a certain appearance, then I'm ok with it.

You really think it's modest to wear something that will make people stare at you everywhere you go? Modesty is in wearing what doesn't draw attention to yourself. In western societies the hijab is the opposite of modesty. It in fact is arrogant.

If you are a woman in the US and want to be modest you wear mom jeans, a baggy sweater, no makeup, and do something boring to your hair. You will draw the fewest eyes that way.
