Progressive ideology is Menshevik socialism. They reject the concept of nations and slowly degrade the cultural identity of a nation. The UK has experienced this socialism since the Second World War; and it's no surprise as the main Left wing party (Labour) is quite clearly Marxist. The left lack the power to create their idealistic, unnatural society and thus resort of authoritarianism and then totalitarianism.
