Why is Ascot always so full of scum? I thought it was supposed to be fancy?
1. Jacob Rees-Mogg will not run for PM. He is far too comfortable where he is and has to wide ambitions or aspirations.
2. He would be a bad opponent of Jeremy Corbyn, who is a filthy populist and will constantly talk about how Mogg is elitist and not in tune with the people.
We need David Davis, the guy who was born poor and grew up in a council estate with a single mother to become a self-made man. Compare that to Corbyn's private education and his whole populist agenda is squat.

It goes a bit further than that in certain instances. There are Chinese families that pay for intelligent, youthful looking Chinese people to take a university place and complete a degree in their child's name. Their child even lives in the same city, in private accommodation, so if it's ever brought up they can regale people with their tales of Oxford/Cambridge/London/Durham/Leeds. They get three or four years of partying, the parents get to say their kid got a First from a Russell Group uni, and when he comes back to China he's shuffled off to some mid ranking Party position to proff more funds.
Speaking of the Party, you actually need to be a sworn member of the Chinese Communist Party to hold a passport and leave the country. Nice place.

Half a league, half a league,
Half a league onward,
All in the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
âForward, the Light Brigade!
Charge for the guns!â he said.
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
II
âForward, the Light Brigade!â
Was there a man dismayed?
Not though the soldier knew
Someone had blundered.
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do and die.
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
III
Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon in front of them
Volleyed and thundered;
Stormed at with shot and shell,
Boldly they rode and well,
Into the jaws of Death,
Into the mouth of hell
Rode the six hundred.
IV
Flashed all their sabres bare,
Flashed as they turned in air
Sabring the gunners there,
Charging an army, while
All the world wondered.
Plunged in the battery-smoke
Right through the line they broke;
Cossack and Russian
Reeled from the sabre stroke
Shattered and sundered.
Then they rode back, but not
Not the six hundred.
V
Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon behind them
Volleyed and thundered;
Stormed at with shot and shell,
While horse and hero fell.
They that had fought so well
Came through the jaws of Death,
Back from the mouth of hell,
All that was left of them,
Left of six hundred.
VI
When can their glory fade?
O the wild charge they made!
All the world wondered.
Honour the charge they made!
Honour the Light Brigade,
Noble six hundred!

>Good Faith Misplaced - Literally Killing with Kindness
Of all the traits one could possess I believe that benevolence is the most honourable of them all, and it's this that makes me so proud to live amongst the great and kind people of Europe. Even when in our own lives we are facing challenges barely surmountable we still find time and reason to help those we see around the world who are suffering in ways so sickening. So when the national anthem rings out and the flag flies high over my head I gush with pride and joy at my great fortune to share a home with the most kind, selfless and honourable people I could dare to imagine. Then I walk through my neighbourhood and see the good we have done; the woman tirelessly pruning the hedges she always wanted but could never have back home in Syria, the children giggling feverishly as their friend rockets down the park slide, and the man who eagerly asks me how to properly pronounce words in the local accent as he drives me from home to work. All these people once suffering are now living a life they never knew existed just a few years ago and the unbounded good will of the people of Europe is to thank for this great and joyous achievement.
2/2
Still I find myself filled with despair when I think of the future and of what it holds in store for those around the world who aren't as lucky as you and I. I despair because I've come to believe that we might actually be killing the countries that need our help.
Many of those who journey to fair Europe in search of a better life are among the few people in their home country with relatively good wealth, education and health. They have shops or farms, they have homes and cars, and they sell all of this so they can pay the fare to fly away to a new home. For that one person and their family this is a happy story, one of great risk and great success and it will be a story told for generations to come as they recount their nerve racking journey across the world. For those left behind in the village from which this family just left the story is often not quite so joyous, as it may mean that their local market or farm was just shut down and now they have no way to get the things needed to live their life with a little comfort and ease. In the most terrible of instances it may even mean that a whole village's access to medicine has disappeared leaving behind a population of young and elderly at risk. So now I find myself wondering if we're doing the best we can - how can we justify our actions if our actions can rob whole villages of the most important things?

All in the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred:
'Forward, the Light Brigade!
Charge for the guns' he said:
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
'Forward, the Light Brigade!'
Was there a man dismay'd ?
Not tho' the soldier knew
Some one had blunder'd:
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do & die,
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon in front of them
Volley'd & thunder'd;
Storm'd at with shot and shell,
Boldly they rode and well,
Into the jaws of Death,
Into the mouth of Hell
Rode the six hundred.
Flash'd all their sabres bare,
Flash'd as they turn'd in air
Sabring the gunners there,
Charging an army while
All the world wonder'd:
Plunged in the battery-smoke
Right thro' the line they broke;
Cossack & Russian
Reel'd from the sabre-stroke,
Shatter'd & sunder'd.
Then they rode back, but not
Not the six hundred.
Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon behind them
Volley'd and thunder'd;
Storm'd at with shot and shell,
While horse & hero fell,
They that had fought so well
Came thro' the jaws of Death,
Back from the mouth of Hell,
All that was left of them,
Left of six hundred.
When can their glory fade?
O the wild charge they made!
All the world wonder'd.
Honour the charge they made!
Honour the Light Brigade,
Noble six hundred!

Our brains ache, in the merciless iced east winds that knive us.
Wearied we keep awake because the night is silent...
Low, drooping flares confuse our memory of the salient.
Worried by silence, sentries whisper, curious, nervous,
But nothing happens.
Watching, we hear the mad gusts tugging on the wire,
Like twitching agonies of men among its brambles.
Northward, incessantly, the flickering gunnery rumbles,
Far off, like a dull rumour of some other war.
What are we doing here?
The poignant misery of dawn begins to grow...
We only know war lasts, rain soaks, and clouds sag stormy.
Dawn massing in the east her melancholy army
Attacks once more in ranks on shivering ranks of grey,
But nothing happens.
Sudden successive flights of bullets streak the silence.
Less deathly than the air that shudders black with snow,
With sidelong flowing flakes that flock, pause, and renew;
We watch them wandering up and down the wind's nonchalance,
But nothing happens.
Pale flakes with fingering stealth come feeling for our faces
We cringe in holes, back on forgotten dreams, and stare, snow-dazed,
Deep into grassier ditches. So we drowse, sun-dozed,
Littered with blossoms trickling where the blackbird fusses,
Is it that we are dying?
Slowly our ghosts drag home: glimpsing the sunk fires, glozed
With crusted dark-red jewels; crickets jingle there;
For hours the innocent mice rejoice: the house is theirs;
Shutters and doors, all closed: on us the doors are closed,
We turn back to our dying.
Since we believe not otherwise can kind fires burn;
Nor ever suns smile true on child, or field, or fruit.
For God's invincible spring our love is made afraid;
Therefore, not loath, we lie out here; therefore were born,
For love of God seems dying.
Tonight, this frost will fasten on this mud and us,
Shrivelling many hands, puckering foreheads crisp.
The burying-party, picks and shovels in shaking grasp,
Pause over half-known faces. All their eyes are ice,
But nothing happens.

My Sorrow, when she's here with me,
Thinks these dark days of autumn rain
Are beautiful as days can be;
She loves the bare, the withered tree;
She walks the sodden pasture lane.
Her pleasure will not let me stay.
She talks and I am fain to list:
She's glad the birds are gone away,
She's glad her simple worsted grey
Is silver now with clinging mist.
The desolate, deserted trees,
The faded earth, the heavy sky,
The beauties she so truly sees,
She thinks I have no eye for these,
And vexes me for reason why.
Not yesterday I learned to know
The love of bare November days
Before the coming of the snow,
But it were vain to tell her so,
And they are better for her praise

What I'm trying to do is craft something I could use against those on the left. I want to start the piece, as I did, by complimenting them and praising their good virtue in a genuine way. This should disarm them after which I can draw attention to the genuine negative sides of what they're doing without arousing suspicion that I'm actually attacking them. Hopefully then I can guide them to the same conclusion I'm already at.

>Men must be taught as if you taught them not. And things unknown proposed as things forgot.

In all my dreams, before my helpless sight,
He plunges at me, guttering, choking, drowning.
If poetry could tell it backwards, true, begin
that moment shrapnel scythed you to the stinking mud ...
but you get up, amazed, watch bled bad blood
run upwards from the slime into its wounds;
see lines and lines of British boys rewind
back to their trenches, kiss the photographs from home -
mothers, sweethearts, sisters, younger brothers
not entering the story now
to die and die and die.
Dulce - No - Decorum - No - Pro patria mori.
You walk away.
You walk away; drop your gun (fixed bayonet)
like all your mates do too -
Harry, Tommy, Wilfred, Edward, Bert -
and light a cigarette.
There's coffee in the square,
warm French bread
and all those thousands dead
are shaking dried mud from their hair
and queuing up for home. Freshly alive,
a lad plays Tipperary to the crowd, released
from History; the glistening, healthy horses fit for heroes, kings.
You lean against a wall,
your several million lives still possible
and crammed with love, work, children, talent, English beer, good food.
You see the poet tuck away his pocket-book and smile.
If poetry could truly tell it backwards,
then it would.

I love Yeats
That is no country for old men. The young
In one anotherâs arms, birds in the trees
âThose dying generationsâat their song,
The salmon-falls, the mackerel-crowded seas,
Fish, flesh, or fowl, commend all summer long
Whatever is begotten, born, and dies.
Caught in that sensual music all neglect
Monuments of unageing intellect.
An aged man is but a paltry thing,
A tattered coat upon a stick, unless
Soul clap its hands and sing, and louder sing
For every tatter in its mortal dress,
Nor is there singing school but studying
Monuments of its own magnificence;
And therefore I have sailed the seas and come
To the holy city of Byzantium.
O sages standing in Godâs holy fire
As in the gold mosaic of a wall,
Come from the holy fire, perne in a gyre,
And be the singing-masters of my soul.
Consume my heart away; sick with desire
And fastened to a dying animal
It knows not what it is; and gather me
Into the artifice of eternity.
Once out of nature I shall never take
My bodily form from any natural thing,
But such a form as Grecian goldsmiths make
Of hammered gold and gold enamelling
To keep a drowsy Emperor awake;
Or set upon a golden bough to sing
To lords and ladies of Byzantium
Of what is past, or passing, or to come.

>>130984810
No. It's invaluable. It reduces pauperism, gives UK PLC a heathy workforce and allows us to adhere to our Christian beliefs.
It just needs to be what we actually voted for. A safety net not a lifestyle.
For example: if a single man could get a cheap small flat, and could rely on this, he could move where work is, study in his spare time, save money and choose a worthy bride. Instead he stays in a deprived area, hooks up with a slag for somewhere to live, learns nothing, loses his self esteem and ends up having more kids with the slag. If it was contribution based, the slag wouldn't have anywhere, or wouldn't have kids outside marriage in the first place, she'd be working and in a tiny flat of her own. No need for the slaggy behaviour. Ahmed and his wife wouldn't be here, because Mohammed and Fatima told them they won't get a free flat any more, or free healthcare, or any bennies. It would be perfect.
I have a heart attack, they fix me up, tell me off and I'm back at work in four months.

I disagree, I don't think it would be make any difference. Perhaps if they ran on a left-wing social democratic manifesto and tried to match Corbyn's radicalism they'd be able to win back some of the youth vote which is so virulently anti-Tory, but I dont think the party's big donors would allow it.

Assuming you know how to use HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP at least then the theory behind it not too hard. You'd take the current immigration number (call it X) and find the projected immigration number for that year (call it P). Then you'd interpolate between X and P according to time.
So if 1000 immigrants are expected to come in this year, the counter would increment by 1 roughly ever 8 hours. That's 3 migrants per day.
