Current SF are MArxists. There were some sects of IRA that were Marxist or had let leaning ideas. But the main sects that everyone knows about were the early 20th century IRA and PIRA these weren't MArxist. They fought to make IReland independent and in the PIRA's case to stop the Unionist government in NI from discriminating against Catholics. Besides it doesn't matter now since the IRA is no more.
