What makes more sense, exterminating Jews while you're fighting for the existence of your nation and folk, or using said Jews as labor to help the war effort?

Before the Nazis, Germany was in economic ruin and the Jews were a parasite. At least in concentration camps, they could be dealt with.

They probably only killed the severely weak/handicapped since they couldn't care for them. In fact, the Nazis probably saw the gassings as more humane (Would you rather die from typhoid or from painless gas?) than letting them suffer from illness.
