>care costs 11K dollars
>for being in Obamacare, companies get 8K dollars
>the holder pays 2K dollars
>$10K to pay for $11K in coverage
>"Savings!"
What the fuck? Am I missing something here or are insurance companies outright losing money under this system?

Yeah no shit. Obamacare was never meant to work. It was meant as an intermediate to socialized healthcare. Notice how "repeal obamacare" turned into "repeal and replace" turned into "err just fix it"

Every time I go to the doctor literally everything is free, because I make less than 17.5k. Maybe I live with people who support me. Don't matter. Hahaha. I get gibs anyway.

Can't argue with that. I'm 24 and healthy, insurance cost before Obama was $80/month. Now those fucking jews want just under $300 a month, and fine me yearly for not buying it.
what does the insurance guarantee people? does it pay for drugs? surgeries? what is the bulk of healthcare costs?

It has a huge deductible and doesn't cover a lot of shit. It wouldn't cover testing my mother needed to stay alive, but it would cover her if she decided she wanted a sex change operation. We actually looked it up because we were curious.

Apparently states have some ability to change what is covered to try and ease the companies into it. The extent is not something I've read in to, but it most likely isn't much.
I don't think it was a lot because a lot of people, employers mainly, in my state petitioned to have the sex change bit removed to try and ease the premium bumps.
Legislators said "yeah our hands our tied on that matter in particular, sorry."
