of course these sorts of measures will likely lead to increased tensions ending in civil unrest, and likely have the opposite of the intended effect. The likes of ISIS actually want that to happen, thinking that if the west lashes back at the muslim world that the muslim world will lash right back at the west. But who's to say who would come out on top in that scenario? If tensions continue to rise and Europe devolves into civil war, who wins? Will the muslims inevitably take it over? Will right wing isolationists prevail in Europe and reverse the demographic trends we are currently seeing? Would Europe continue on its current path in terms of political ideology in spite of civil strife, or would everything fuck up and everyone has to rebuild their countries from scratch?
