So days before india would've sacked Lahore (capital of Pakistan) and liberate Bangladesh (East Pakistan back then) nixon sent his boys to tell India to fuck off or face nuclear annihilation...Russia (India's eternal bro) came in and cucked the combined British and American fleets and told them to fuck off. India then royally fucked the Pakistani army (look into the stats for some mind boggling shit).

That second part especially is the sole reason why India has implied was the reason they went nuclear.
