Alright /pol/ let's talk about the 2001 Anthrax Attacks

As you may recall, one week after 9/11, letters containing aerosolized Anthrax powder were mailed to members of the media and members of congress.

Weeks after the Anthrax attacks, the FBI inexplicably ordered the destruction of Anthrax lab samples that could've been used to compare the specific strain used in the attack.

Robert Mueller, then FBI director, was being pushed to blame it on Iraq and/or al-Qaeda, but he refused, stating the samples were too scientifically advanced to have come from a cave.

The guy they pinned the attacks on apparently went psycho years later and supposedly committed suicide just days before he was to face charges and present a legal defense.

The evidence against him, however, was not very strong. In fact, the samples that were in his lab that matched the strain used in the attack was not prepared in the same way - in fact, even the FBI admitted that he could not have had the technology to prepare it in such a way, and that it would've had to come from a state sponsored attack.
