What are the chances the eruption would be good for the west? Rabbits all over would die from famine and unrest, when our relatively low population, abundance of arable land and agricultural technology would keep private industry (and us) from jumping ship. Not to mention, the specter of mortality would grace many borderline SJWs and perhaps change their tune.

Or is this a chance to go bleeding heart and import millions of others from failed states and let them rape our way of life out of existence?

On paper the world would equalize in the post penicillin age.. or is the destruction of the white hegemony all too important for you know who?

Pro-Tip: Volcanic Ash is actually tiny shards of obsidian glass. If you breath it in it shreds your lungs. Nobody's going to give a fuck about anything in politics other than disaster relief and FEMA's going to be top dog for a while. Nothing good will come of this, save for dead niggers.

Oh also, nothing's going to grow right for years. The ash clouds will drop global temperatures and reduce the amount of sunlight that reaches the surface. Expect acid rain too.

You faggots don't realise a super eruption would cause global cooling from the ash cloud for possibly decades.
It would be a mass extinction event, only a handful of humanity would survive.
It will be the end of civilization.
I for one pray every night for it. It would be glorious , a complete humanity reset.
Survival of the fittest

It will DESTROY most of the third world countries. That means 2nd world countries too such as the arab states.

Its also a perfect chance, in our distress, to unveil advanced tech that we've been hoarding (that guy from skunkworks made the quote years ago we've got better-than-star-trek shit already).

When money and oil dont matter and life does, people who've got the keys to that stuff will pull it out, and they'll shoot their bosses.

That'll keep the lights on and keep the transportation going. And it will remove kebab in an exceedingly efficient manner.

Kinda ironic that Pure Chaos and destruction is just what we need to get the corrupt government and corporate bullshit out of the way.

As soon as it happens you gotta get in your car and head southeast. Use a road atlas and take highways not interstates.

Are you fucking retarded, honest question.

If you hadn't noticed, east of the Cascade mountain ranges lies a huge portion of our agriculture. If we don't count the amount of complete loss of crops due to a change in climate and massive change in geography (the crater that used to be Montana, Wyoming and Idaho), and focus entirely on the exposure of just the ash cloud to our livestock, and how many it kills, you are looking at food shortage out the ass, and people leaving states to pack into ones less affected by ash. Not to mention what it would do to our economy, as all of our farmers use, big shocker here, fuel to power their farm equipment, which they cant afford in that case anymore due to the crash that fucker would induce.
And with all the farmers I had the pleasure of working with, outside of the industrial farming standard you see with the multi-million dollar combines and other assorted equipment, they use outdated John Deer or Ford's from the sixties that they have barely kept running due to the lack of substantial income. Even if our nation isn't outright fucked, it would be for the years to come due to the setbacks of YELLOWSTONE WIPING AT LEAST THREE STATES OFF THE GODDAMN MAP.

All of our large companies are based in Texas, Delaware, Florida and places like that. If anything once FEMA gets in after the disaster and takes care of the social uphevail, our own companies will have a really cheap and easy way to start fracking in these regions. A lot of it right now is national parks.

If anything this could become a net benefit for American businesses as long as the Chinese don't pull some spooky shit and end up buying it up themselves.

the ash goes up like 40 fucking miles or something like that, it spreads out because of bouyancy and the ash pushing up against it

well above the wind currents below - thats why it goes up north and south so far (even west, against the wind)... however when it starts coming down it will be affected by the wind... but it'll have abit less effect than you might think.

It'll take something in the yield range of 50+ Megatons to cause an earthquake big enough to destabilize the lower rock levels where the magma needs to break to get released.

And it has to be a surface detonation or preferably even underground.

The coverage zones never reflect seasonal winds. If it happens now, the strong southerly winds coming from Mexico and the gulf will push it North and East. It will likely miss Texas altogether and hit more Midwestern states like Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois.

If so then I'm ok with this.

If it happens in winter then I'm fucked big time.

>>
>>130825840

Actually what im thinking is the Tsar and other large devices, they have a more drawn out shock/burn due to the Fusion taking place over a longer period of time and a smaller proportion of it being Fission. It may take upwards of a second or two for the fusion to have run its course.

> this is part of the reason why the high-thermal blinding exposure for big bombs is spread out over 15-20 seconds

When you use multiple devices each one is Fusing its material in its own furnace, and there is a larger proportional amount of Fission that takes place to start it.

> Fission releases that energy very, very quickly, while Fusion takes a slight bit longer to complete.

TL;DR - If you use multiple smaller devices to add up to the same yield the Impulse from the explosion is sharper, and for a ground shockwave going into the earth it will be more destructive to the structures underneath.

The Central Plains states produce about half of the world's grain, dairy, corn, beef and pork. We literally feed the world. It's the single largest area of arable land ON EARTH. It might be exactly what we need TO unify us.

Imagine this once-in-eons event happening and returning us to our ancestral Europe...with our guns...and taking it back from those who gave it away and those 3rd world savages who plague it.

The 3rd world relies entirely on the generosity and benevolence of the 1st world to survive. Without the massive excess production
of food, they will die by the hundreds of millions over the years. As long as we refuse them entrance into our lands (why would they bother at that point? No more gibs) we'll be fine.

First year temperatures may be down like 25F (90 degrees becomes 65 at best) but this will continue for many years at the -20F level.

And this affects the whole planet, even the tropics. Though it may take the longest time to work its way down to the south pole.

These predictions only account for the blockage of sunlight, not other factors. Due to Albedo any snowfall that accumulates and takes time to thaw will be reflecting sunlight rather than the ground absorbing it.

Water is also a heat sink, having snow on the ground with weak sunlight to melt it is going to be like opening a freezer and the cold air just flows out of it.

Cold/Icy regions are going to provide prevailing wind force for low pressure fronts.

Has to do with projections based on worldwide sun blockage due to how much of the volcanic ash will remain in the upper atmosphere.

Ash layers in rock strata from previous supervolcano eruptions around the world would also tell how much of it would remain in the upper atmosphere (since picking some random place on the map and checking that specific depth of rock is the best way to gauge it, as some place that wasnt in the immediate ash fall zones for a given volcano)

If you look at the areas of the US that would be obliterated by Yellowstone, you will note that they do not include our major industrial, agricultural, or population areas.

What will end up happening is the US Agricultural economy will no longer have a surplus. It will still take a massive hit, and what we produce will have to be used internally. The Government may even have to nationalize the food production chain for awhile and all of us will be eating, rice beans, and government cheese for a year or two.

Still, we will be fine over all, and will recover. The people who will be in deep shit will be countries dependent on the US for food imports. We are literally the breadbasket of the world. The Mississippi river plains are responsible for a large percentage of the global grain production.

Couple this with the global ash cloud, there will be huge famines in China, India and Africa, as even though all three places produce alot of food, they are inefficient about it and still need to import more from places like the USA. With no imports coming, and their domestic production also in the crapper, these areas will be up shit creek.

Wait, I just thought of something. This article I read "Comparing the thickness of oceanic crust of different ages, Van Avendonk and colleagues discovered that 170-million-year-old crust is 1.7 kilometers thicker on average than fresh crust. Chemical analyses of lava rocks suggest Earth’s mantle has cooled about 6 to 11 degrees on average every 100 million years over the last 2.5 billion years. But since the mid-Jurassic about 170 million years ago, the mantle has cooled around 15 to 20 degrees on average per 100 million years, the researchers estimate. While scientists expected the mantle to cool over time as heat left over from Earth’s formation and from radioactive decay dissipates, this degree of cooling was surprising" https://www.sciencenews.org/article/earth-mantle-cooling-faster-expected

Could this be the reason why the Yellowstone volcano is past due for eruption?

America would be toast stupid, literally everyone in the Northwest hemisphere would die (barring the few rich enough to afford to escape or own a bunker) in around a year. The eruption would destroy pretty much all of America's food yielding land instantaneously, and then those who hoarded food would develop various diseases from volcanic ash and die (imagine breathing asbestos constantly every single day).

As for Europe, there would be no more refugees, as every communication device on the planet except a couple extremely high end government devices cannot pierce through ash. Most countries would collapse overnight and the only people enforcing borders would be idiots too dumb to bunker down somewhere with farmland and isolation, but most shithole countries would realize that there's no point running elsewhere because they're just as fucked.

This will drive the Californians out of Colorado for good. Bring it on magma bro.

This will crash the world economy, farm land in those areas has a massive bubble, not to mention how industrial farming makes massive hedges because banks won't allow them to go bankrupt, and that will trigger what Jim Rodgers was referring to, if it doesn't happen before.

If you're not living in a compound because you're the 1% then your ass is grass when the nig squad comes to take your food.

> See everyone talking about the ash cloud.
> Realizes the shock wave will kill millions of people.

California will be a grave yard by the shock wave and finally slip into the Pacific Ocean from the 10.0 Earthquake
