I'm currently in Montreal, but I am French. I moved here for studies because I spent the last couple of my Lycée years in the US (parents are expatriates), and thus wanted the bilingual experience.

The sad reality I notice when walking around universities is, this is the successful youth that Zemmour, Renault, and others talk about: the children of expatriates (like me, yeah) who study, want to do well, but don't really care about France. Give it a couple generations and they'll assimilate into the hosting cultures. Maybe you can have a bit of a surviving French community in Quebec, but 100% all of those who live in the US and other countries with a strong cultural identity will assimilate.

I want to go back to France for my masters, but I spoke to my family who's still there recently (one of them in particular) and the quote I vividly remember is "France is done man. C'est terminé! Maybe not yet for you, but for your kids and grand kids, it's over.".

Fuck. The only way to survive is to assimilate to the anglosphere. The old continent seems on it's last legs. It's a choice between being part of the culture shipped from the submerging waves of Islam, or the suffocating but surviving Anglo culture. We lose no matter what.

I really want to go to France and try and do something, anything. Film the ghetto that Paris has become. Write about the horrors of the welfare state, the fraud that plunders our country. Show how even the "native" French in the big countries don't even feel that French. That's the biggest thing I notice here: people don't really give a shit about France, they don't really read it's literature or history, they feel only a superficial connection to the country. To them, postmodern children that they are, they're so alienated to previous societies that it's severed their own roots on the land.
