Anyone who actually played Persona knows this chick takes you, a high school student, for 100k in yen just for you to have the privilege to speak to her thereafter for 5k yen each visit even after you gain her full trust. She is poor as dirt working a scheme because she was literally too stupid to make her way herself when she moved to the city.

There's successful female characters in the game who aren't constrained by some stupid idea of male dominated society and try to excel in job markets made for them. One of the main characters embraces her femininity and works to improve herself as a model rather than skating by on her natural good looks because another woman who was trying much harder to make it in the same market had effectively told her off and acted like a catty bitch the whole time.

Truth is women also suffer from the crab bucket philosophy where women aren't allowed to be impressive in jobs that are suited for them because it's 'degrading' and they complain when a typical and traditional male career path isn't something they can rocket to victory in. Pic related is struggling in a male career path and is portrayed as a particularly loveless bitch for most of the game, neglecting her only family and treating her sister like garbage because she's too focused on making her way as a woman and a prosecutor. She's clearly not happy in her job but she stays with it because her father had been a good cop who died (fitting herself in his role basically).
