im pretty sure russia is only hated because its "white and christian" in its values and culture, vaguely-sort-of opposes globalism and globalization of the world, and obviously, recently, is tied to donald trump. there's no other rational reason for the left to be demonizing them the way they do. despite the fact that our interests don't always align, it would be much better and more expedient for us to all work together (whenever possible) rather than antagonize eachother and move closer to the still-possible mutually assured destruction scenario :(
