Was the burning of the books justified?
In their defense, Germany had been on the verge of a communist revolution, and revolutions had been attempted already. Burning communist propaganda, literature, and degenerate pornography could be viewed as necessary to "show who's boss".
On the other hand, take a look at pic related. These Jews burned a bunch of Holocaust revisionist books. Do those of you who defend the Nazi book burning also defend these Jews? If the Nazis can burn books written by Jews like Freud, why can't Jews burn books that deny the Holocaust? And can communists burn Nazi books as well?

The point of a book burning is to destroy ideas. Whether those ideas are harmful or beneficial is the real question.
