Under a sustained war, without any interruption or outside aid, the USSR would have capitulated. the loss of the good farmlands would have eventually led to a starve-out. If Japs didn't prematurely get the US involved(It nudged in the massive flow for materials and logistics to prop up the USSR for that time) then Germany likely would have been golden, though occupation would have likely bled them dry of manpower eventually due to partisan and resistance.

Both Stalin and Hitler wanted an Eurasian empire made of Western European industry and Eastern European/Siberian resources. Whoever built something like that in the 1940s would have been untouchable. German/Soviet war was inevitable. They were allies only in 1939-1940 toio swiftly remove buffer states before the final showdown. When the Anglos won the battle of Britain and the Atlantic remained largely Anglo-controlled Hitler knew that he had to get on with the building of his land empire and since the German army was so good at attacking he thought striking first got him an advatage.

He almost captured Moscow but even if he did I doubt he would have won, the Generalplan Ost was retarded, consumed a ton of resources and generated massive resistance even among people who initially liked the Germans but ended up as red partisans. The cost of running a massive anti-partisan watrfare from the Vistula to the Urals and financing Nazi theme parks with Slav forced labor and deportations which was as economically efficient as Soviet collectivization would have worn down the Reich anyway.

In the end Stalin won and would have rolled into Lisbon by 1947 if the Americans had not stopped him with the Cold War.

Not listening to your military advisors. Divide and conquer could have easily won the war. The US was reluctant to join in the first place, wrapping up west europe would have ensured the US stays out (the opinion at the time was to let things across the pond just play out).
