I was with a group of Gen X and Boomer liberals. My politics are well known to them.
Subject turns to politics:
They tell me they give up.
Refuse to engage in politics because they "just don't know" any more. Tell me the "radicals have taken over". They refuse to listen to news casts. They just listen to pod casts. One says she wants to "go subsistence farm in Thailand".
Perhaps the accounts for the huge number of "did not vote" numbers in elections in USA, Britain and France. If so... then at once good job... and ... /pol/ we're halfway there.
