The overall eruption has been overhyped. The question people don't know the answer to is will the next eruption be a supervolcanic eruption, or just a regular eruption. If it's supervolcanic, it can be any magnitude within a range. The problems only really arise if it's not in the low-mid part of that range. If it experiences a standard volcanic eruption instead then most of the park will be covered by lava flows, but there will be very little effect outside the park boundaries.
