The left has always been about reactivity, chaos and undoing. In some periods of time that has been more or less beneficial. Now there's nothing left to undo and we must be constructive. The left does not know how to do so except through weak 5 Year Plans that are accomplished through cheating and purges (further chaos).
The subversion rumor was absolutely true. Feminists who would have been well-versed in the law and history and would consider feminism to be merely about having a few extra options in life turned into screeching half naked blue haired proud porn stars. Highly separate gays and lesbians who tried to keep their preferences humble and private turned into rainbow public sex on leashes. Black Panthers turned into suburban black girls crying about people trying to touch their hair.

A rootless culture of narcissism that encourages ever more postmodern contrarianism made an intellectual and provocative left turn into a mere farce in just thirty years. But anarchism, even the Chomsky kind, could never be cohesive and so would be prone to the slightest temptation.

Let's just not let the same thing happen to the right. Because it is happening. What looks like a renaissance of the right as of now is mostly composed of weak, opportunistic elements that will replay the same cycle of decay the left went through.

Stop gaping the Left vs Right professional wrestling match. There's the media-military-surveillance-government-academia complex, those who benefit from it, and everyone else. The above seems contradictory until you realize everyone is getting paid, and well paid at that.

Of the latter, a small percentage have an actual grasping of the realities.
