Lots of corporate media would continue operating under "losses". Imagine you own two companies: one that makes tanks and one that is a newspaper. You push war with the newspaper (like WaPo did with the Iraq war), and it won't matter if the company is losing money, because you'll be selling way more tanks and making a lot more money though that company.
