I've met several Mexican KAUST graduates, now you can easily guess where I work. I think you'll find a lot of Mexicans there.

I've never actually been to Thuwal but I heard it does get boring. Unfortunately it's not close to Bahrain and Dubai but those are still doable on weekends.

Not sure about the job market now, but there used to be automatic jobs for any KAUST graduate. Connecting with locals is easy. There is no general attitude, most people are friendly if you're friendly like everywhere else in the world.
