Their plan so far, after loosing the election seems to be to further divide the population, pit white vs black, women vs men, poor vs rich, etc. Also to demoralize the base to maybe get enough seats in congress in 2018 to actively undermine the Trump admin. Optics plays a big part also, making Trump look as incompetent as possible, even when he's doing what he said he was gonna do very effectively.
The Russian narrative, which grows weaker and weaker each day helped to gain time, so the US and Russia can't be friends and also to make the president illegitimate in the eyes of many. To hardcore liberals it won't matter if they never find proof of collusion, if Seth Rich is demonstrated to be the leaker, they KNOW the Russians hacked the election.
