As most of you are probably aware /pol/ is constantly being baited, shitposted, subverted and this continued pretty much from the start of the board.
However, recently I have observed an increase of this from the normal level. Especially in the relation to socialism/communism shitposting and "hahaha this is just bait xd I was only trollin". Yet these bait threads seem to always make it to first page of the board without being deleted by mods.
I'm all for free speech and humorous shitposting when it's entertaining and not an obvious and maintained effort at subverting and preventing actual discussion.
Another increase I've noticed is in "divide and conquer" tactics used to segregate the views on the board and then to normalise that view within that ideology.
This is likely a combination of innocent shitposting and actual malicious subversion.
This is just an observation with no statistics to back it up, but I am interested in your thoughts. If it is just the nature of the board and the recent introduction of flags, making for good shitposting material. If if particular groups are trying normalise certain views to suit their agenda. Or perhaps something else.
HMM, I WONDER WHAT IS GOING ON?

But how can we convince redditers to stop replying to the bait?
