Should people be forced to vote?
To me it seems as if people are less and less likely to vote.
Partly because they feel disenfranchised and partly because they don't give a shit.
Especially the feeling that their vote does not do shit (it probably doesn't) makes them stay at home thus handing the victory to the party which is able to make people vote.
Now Trump is a beautiful example of a "protest" vote. People are fed up with the status quo and given the voting system the only way in which they can express their anger is to vote for someone who seems to be anti establishment.
Now: what if there was the option to vote for the "White" party?
In case you deem both/all parties to be a bad choice, you simply vote for the "white" party. Any vote cast there doesn't go to waste, the imaginary white party simply takes the seats: parliament would be partly empty.
Thoughts?

Voting will never change a thing.
scrap the entire system

Good, now that might be easier to accomplish if the first place in a given election is taken by a blank party?
At least the message would be very clear. We are here, we are not satisfied with the system and took the rare opportunity to express this peacefully.
