Why do Americans believe movies that are supposedly based on true stories?
Let's take this movie for example. Lone Survivor. Here's the story that Americans believe:
>4 heroic navy seals embark on a scouting mission
>the mission gets compromised and they argue like children other whether to kill them or not
>they fight for hours on end against 50 to 100+ taliban fighters and kill dozens of them
>Marcus is the only survivor and he watches his team mates die agonizing deaths
>he returns home a hero and is praised with medals and glory for being such a heroic fighter
Here's what actually happened (according to the villager that saved him, the military commander in charge of the mission, rangers who had to go to the mountain after it happened, villagers and Taliban members). The man who saved him has lost everything in the process and was used as promotion for the movie.
>seals were dispatched to scout out a high value target
>the mission does get compromised but there is no argument, the person in charge immediately votes to let them go
>there were only a handful of Taliban fighters on the mountain that were tracking their movements and following them
>they picked them off one by one without much resistance
>Marcus ran while his team was fighting and when he encountered his savior, not a single bullet had been fired from his weapon as all his magazines were full
>there weren't 50-100+ Taliban fighters, there were only a handful
>the person who saved him was invited to the U.S. to help promote the movie
>he started questioning things Marcus was saying and then he mysteriously was ordered to be deported
>he lost family members and his business under constant Taliban threat
>Marcus has completely cut off contact from him after he called him out on all his lies
The truth is, Marcus ran while his team tried to fight back and his good friend never died in his arms like he claimed nor did anyone encounter any bodies other than that of the seals.
Sources? Or is this just hear-say?
libs claim hundreds of thousands of sand people died in iraq, but a seal team killing 50-100 people is impossible
