The left certainly has a lot of social justice issues tied to drug decriminalization.
First is the individual's right to decide for themselves what drugs they can consume (i.e. generics, homeopathic, Asian, etc.)

Second, weed is not inherently harmful, so the government's authority to ban it is questionable.

Third, racial disparities are obvious in marijuana arrests. In just about every DOJ case investigated in the past 15 years, it was used to target minorities.

Fourth, a million people a year are arrested for small amounts of marijuana, and seizure of assets has become a multi-billion-dollar revenue stream for federal state and local governments.

Fifth, the governments all use proceeds from pot-related seizures and property confiscations to increase their war machine against the people.

Finally, the conservative states governments have seized upon the abuse of people's rights to further their own agenda of arbitrarily punishing the poor - drug testing welfare recipients.

I'm interested in any practical additions to the list.
